This is an original acrylic painting on paper titled ‘Sorrow’ it is inspired by this quote: “I have a right to share in Sorrow, and he who can look at the loveliness of the world, and share its sorrow, and realise something of the wonder of both, is in immediate contact with divine things, and has got near to God’s secret as anyone can get.” – by Oscar Wilde in The Profundis
It is painted with acrylic paints on acrylic paper. The size is 500 x 700 mm. There’s a small white border around the painting where it was taped to my easel. The painting is signed.
The artwork is sprayed with a varnish so that it will be more protected from dust, dirt and light. Next to this I would advice to frame the painting in a frame with special UV-glass to avoid any possible color loss over the years – especially if it will be hung in a sunny spot.
