My Name Is My Home – Original Painting

This painting is inspired by refugees and people who have to move from the place they love. It must be so difficult to leave everything you know and have behind and then work hard for a place somewhere else. This painting is about that darkness, but at the same time it shows the light that can fall into those lives as well. Unexpected and uninvited the light will fall in and bring hope and beauty and color.

Specifics

It is painted with acrylic paints on acrylic paper. The size is 500 x 700 mm including border. There’s a small white border around the painting where it was taped to my easel. The painting is signed.

The artwork is sprayed with a varnish so that it will be more protected from dust, dirt and light. Next to this I would advice to frame the painting in a frame with special UV-glass to avoid any possible color loss over the years – especially if it will be hung in a sunny spot.
