This painting is based on this quote from the book ‘The Voyage Out’ by Virginia Woolf: “When she sat down she had dropped her books on to the earth at her feet, and now she looked down on them lying there, so square in the grass, a tall stem bending over and tickling the smooth brown cover of Gibbon, while the mottled blue Balzac lay naked in the sun.”

Specifics

It is painted with acrylic paints on wood. Dimensions: Size  220 x 260 x 10 mm. The wooden plank is not entirely symmetrical and has a raw finish.

The artwork is sprayed with a varnish so that it will be more protected from dust, dirt and light.
