And Being in Love For the First Time, I Made A Phrase (Virginia Woolf)

The book ‘The Waves’ by Virginia Woolf is so strange and wonderful. Many paragraphs and sentences inspired me. This painting is inspired by this one: “And being in love for the first time, I made a phrase – a poem about a wood-pigeon – a single phrase, for a hole had been knocked in my mind, one of those sudden transparencies through which one sees everything.”

THE ORIGINAL

    • Size and Material
It is painted with acrylic paints on acrylic paper. The size is 300 x 400 mm including a small white border.
The artwork is sprayed with a varnish so that it will be more protected from dust, dirt and light. Next to this I would advice to frame the painting in a frame with special UV-glass to avoid any possible color loss over the years – especially if it will be hung in a sunny spot.
