It is painted with acrylic paints on paper. The size is 200 x 300 mm including a small border. The painting is signed.
The artwork is sprayed with a varnish so that it will be more protected from dust, dirt and light. Next to this I would advice to frame the painting in a frame with special UV-glass to avoid any possible color loss over the years – especially if it will be hung in a sunny spot.

The Story
Vincent van Gogh was a man of great determination. It seems like no matter what happened to him, he kept going, kept working, kept moving forward. He was very poor, got heartbroken several times, got betrayed by friends, had a complicated relationship with his family, was continually misunderstood and seemed to be all alone in the world. Yet for some reason he kept going. Kept working.
His hardships seemed to fuel his particular view of the world. He embraced sorrow and pain as much as he embraced joy and beauty. Meeting everything that came his way with all heart.
In his paintings his deep desire was to depict a sincere human feeling; Love, sorrow, admiration, curiosity. These feelings are still tangible today when one looks closely at one of his paintings.
“la tristesse durera toujours” (the sadness will last forever) were Vincent’s last words. Yet Vincent’s life proofs that sorrow seems to be connected to beauty.
He said: “It’s my belief that it is actually one’s duty these days to paint the rich and magnificent aspects of nature. We need gaiety and happiness, hope and love. The more ugly, old, mean, ill, poor I get, the more I want to take my revenge by producing brilliant, well arranged, colors.“
Vincent’s life’s work shows that it is possible to take sadness and sorrow and turn them into something amazing, something full of life and color.

Process & Shipping Time
Since this is a one-person business and the artworks are of different materials and sizes, the processing times are variable. I will always try to ship the item to you as quick as possible, usually this will be within 1 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email.
When your order is shipped I will sent you a notification. If there is any unforeseen delay, I will notify you as soon as possible.
Shipping Rates and Estimates
Shipping charges for local and international orders will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
International Shipping
Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. The Dance Part is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.
Pickup Your Order
You can skip the shipping fees and processing time with free local pickup (I am based in Oosterbeek, Netherlands). Send a note with your order that you would like to pick it up personally - if any shipping charges are automatically calculated, I will refund this to you after you've pick up your order.
I will contact you about the time and date of the pickup.
How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If you haven’t received your order within 15 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact me at merith@thedancepart.nl with your name and order number, and I will look into it for you.
Refunds, returns, and exchanges

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email me as soon as possible at merith@thedancepart.nl with a photo of the item’s condition.
